Angela Cork MA RCA

Angela Cork is a renowned silversmith and designer-maker with over 20 years of experience in contemporary silversmithing and jewellery. As Principal of Bishopsland Educational Trust, she mentors emerging talent and has led the organisation through a significant transition, developing new workshops for future silversmiths.

Angela is a Trustee of South Square Trust, which supports talent in the arts, and a Committee Member of the Goldsmiths’ Company’s Contemporary Craft Committee. A Liveryman since 2018, she actively promotes high standards in craftsmanship.

Her work is held in prominent collections, including Birmingham City Art Gallery, the National Museum of Wales, and the Goldsmiths’ Company. Notable commissions include the Henley Royal Regatta trophy in 2021. Angela has exhibited extensively across the UK, showcasing her innovative silversmithing.

She co-founded the Five Collection, a platform for contemporary metalwork, and has served as a judge for prestigious awards such as the GCDC and Silver Society Prize. From 2016 to 2020, Angela was Chair of Contemporary British Silversmiths, where she helped establish its charitable status and strengthen its training programme. Angela continues to champion the craft, advocating for new makers and its ongoing evolution.

Craftsmanship

Angela Corks Silversmithing & Jewellery collections are made in her London Studio. Traditional silversmithing skills are used to construct and finish their Silver and Jewellery and her attention to detail is second to none. Her work is recognised as being exacting and each piece is carefully hand crafted to the highest of standards. All Silverware and Jewellery is Hallmarked and assayed in London and is stamped with Angela Cork’s unique makers mark.
